About Us
Our Story
Daniel and Ashley (aka Banshee) Ayers have loved cars, trucks, Jeeps, bikes and everything in between for as long as they can remember.
In March of 2023, Ashley decided it was time to start modifying her 2018 Dodge Daytona Charger. It took some time to think of what she wanted to do design wise, but she finally came upon the idea of doing a Banshee theme. Growing up, Ashley's Mom would always tell her to "stop running around the house like a screaming banshee." In Irish folklore, a banshee is a female spirit who is believed to signal the impending death of a family member. A banshee is known for her mournful cries, wails, or shrieks. As Ashley was still mourning the loss of her mother, she thought what a better way to honor the memory of her Mama, who had passed away in Feb. 2020, than by putting the screaming image of a banshee on her car. So the Banshee was born out of death.
As Ashley got more into the car scene and car shows with Banshee, she quickly realized that there was no real safe, permitted, family-friendly night events to take her 2 teenage children to without worrying about being ran off by police. With a background in event planning, she decided why not host her own car event that met all the issues she had with other meets.
We started out as Sanford Cars and Grub with our first event on July 21, 2023 at Elev8 Fun Orlando at Seminole Towne Center Mall. We offered food trucks, tent vendors, and all the entertainment inside Elev8. We had 2 weeks from the time we decided to host the first event to get everything together before the big night. Daniel and Ashley spent countless hours advertising, messaging the community, going to meets and events to spread the news, and to their surprise, their hard work paid off when over 700 cars showed up at the first event! It was a huge success! After the first event, it was a long battle of trying to secure permitting, event venues, and all the other issues that arise with putting on bigger events. But each event brought out something cool, something unique, and we saw that this event was a NEED for the Central Florida community.
In October 2023, we decided to change our event name to Midflorida Cars and Grub to allow our event to expand outside of Sanford to do venues in other cities and be more consistent in our branding. After showing the local communities that we are not just another takeover event or an unsafe event, we finally secured our event at Elev8 Fun Orlando for all of 2025 on the 3rd Friday of each month from 7pm-10pm!

Our volunteers are what make Midflorida Cars and Grub a success! We would not have one of the most organized, friendly, and fun events in Central Florida without them.

Cost to Attend
In order to help pay for the event costs, we decided to charge for parking at the event but keep it minimal and affordable for our attendees. We currently charge $3/motorcycle, $5/spectator and/or show car, and $10 for VIP (if available on a first come-first parked basis). We only accept CASH or ZELLE ONLY at the entrance each month.
